Komala was invited by Japan Foundation under their most prestigious ‘Short Term Visitors Programme’.

• She has performed for Nehru Birth Centenary Celebrations in Kobe, Japan.
• She also performed a special programme for the Dance Masters in Japan organized by the Japan Foundation, apart from other programmes.

Komala was invited by Government of China twice to visit China.

• She was the only artist to be invited from India for the China Arts Festival held in Kunming, China as a Special Invitee..
• Komala visited china a second time as member of the Goodwill Delegation on the invitation of the Government of China in 2001.

Komala was Special invitee to III International Festival of Anthropology of Dance in Krakow, Poland.

• She gave a performance and also presented a paper on ‘Solo Indian Classical dance’. 
• She also conducted a workshop for Bharatanatyam students in Warsaw.
• She performed in the U.N on the invitation of United Nations staff Recreation Council.
