PHOTOGRAPHER
Komala is a member of the Federation of Indian Photography and participates in Indian and International Photo Salons. She was one of the advisors to the 22nd National Photographic Convention of FIP held in Jabalpur in 2004. As a photographer she has captured the natural beauty, monuments and heritage sites, places of tourist interest, moods of people including especially children and Dance of many countries. She has won awards in Indian and International Photographic salons. She contributes photos to calendars and magazines and to illustrate her articles.
Her photo exhibitions include:
- Photo Exhibition titled ‘Beauty and Rhythm’ organized by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi in 2001.
- ‘Glimpses of China’ organized by the Embassy of China, after her visit to China on a Goodwill Delegation on the invitation of the Government of China, also in 2001.
- ‘Delhi O Delhi’- photos on Delhi organized by India Habitat Centre in September, 2005.
- ITDC has made a big board out of her photograph taken in Kashmir.
- Her photograph ‘Village Girl’ was selected for ‘Around the World with PSA’(Photographic Society of America) folio.
- She had participated in the India Tourism Week Exhibition of the Tourism Department of Govt. of India in 1999.
